Perhaps I'll cut out your tongue as a parting gift. You aren't using it properly.

Uh huh. And perhaps 'your people' are doing a whole bunch better now they're lacking a glorious leader who....responds to minor annoyances by making with the melodrama like a teenage girl with a broken nail.

I ruled an Empire, half of which didn't want me in a position of leadership. Your insults are hardly worth notice.

Then I won't wait for his approval. Let me onto the deck. Immediately.

No. You would only end up in the Infirmary, going through the death toll.

Open the door for me or I will take care of it myself.

I will not. You'll get nothing out of going up there.

[And he doesn't answer, because he's angry, and feeling trapped, and damned determined to take it out on her. So Shinzon leaves his room and barges into hers, slamming the door against wall. He moves fast, not wanting to give her a chance to Confess him, reaching for the night wisp around her neck.]

[She's surprised by his sudden burst into her room. She doesn't have enough time to react and grab for her daggers, so she blocks him as best as she can under the circumstances, as he grabs for her item.]

[He's been cooped up here for a longtime. Not pulling any punches, really, so Shinzon tries to sweep her legs from under her, grabbing for her hair.]

[Kahlan couldn't keep her footing and she yelped when his hand tangled in her hair. She grabbed at his hand to stop the pull on her scalp. Instinct told her to confess him already, but considering things never end well when she does, she hesitated.]

[He grabbed for her wrist with his free hand, wanting hers as far from him as possible. Keeping his hold on her hair, he pressed them down, snarling.] Give me the item.

No. [She growled back, refusing to give an inch.]

[He let go of her hair and reached for the chain, fully intending to rip it from her neck. Instead, he twisted it, pulling her closer. He hadn't forgotten the flood that had made her sleep with him. Hadn't forgotten a moment of it, and though he was contemplating knocking her out, he kissed her instead, trying to catch both hands in his.]

[Kahlan was beyond shocked that Shinzon had kissed her and she turned her head to the side to get him to stop. By the look on her face, it was pretty clear that she wanted none of it and she wrestled her hands away as best as she could. He was still too close for her to even reach for her daggers, as her instinct screamed for to do.]

[He wasn't going to let her anywhere near those daggers, not if he could help it. Letting go of the necklace, he grabbed for her other wrist and pushed, trying to trap her arms against the ground. Thought had slowed down, allowing him to just act. He shifted to keep important bits of anatomy out of reach of knees and feet, leaning in to kiss her again. Most of Shinzon's ideas of romance had a psychic attachment, and with no way to create that link, he relied on muscle instinct.]

[Kahlan gritted her teeth and growled at the exertion of trying to get the upper hand and getting him off of her. However, now that both hands were held tight against the floor, there wasn't much she could do to defend herself. He'd made sure her best weapon was of no use and she couldn't just knee him in the groin, since he'd positioned himself in such a way as to prevent that.

She turned her head to the side and clenched her mouth shut when he tried to kiss her again. She was breathing heavily through her nose and all her thoughts were racing a mile a minute, mainly focusing on survival.]

[She kept turning, denying him, and the one thought that did catch up was that she knew he was playing a game with him. He didn't like it. His own growl bubbles up, and Shinzon bit at her lip, knowing she had a scar there, just as he did. He released one of her wrists, reaching down to push away his coat and unbelt his pants.]

[She yelped when he bit her, but opportunity presented itself when he let go of her wrist. She immediately balled up her fist and aimed a hard punch to the side of his head, hitting him on the ear. She hoped that would be enough to get him off of her so she could properly take care of the situation.]

[Shinzon snarled with the hit, head forced to turn. His ear rang, his head buzzed, but he knew what she could do if he let her. He pulled back and backhanded her, hard. He didn't wait to see if she'd recover, instead reaching for her item and yanking it off her neck. He wasted no time, rising and retreating, fully intending to reach the deck and jump off this damnable ship. Death was preferable.]

[Kahlan cried out in pain when he hit her. She'd been punched before which generally hurt, but this time she hit her head against a corner piece of hard furniture and she could feel everything going dim. She could feel the chain of her item breaking before she passed out.]

[He didn't even look over his shoulder as he left, closing the door hard behind him. Forgoing appearances, he ran for the upper decks, the night wisp clutched tightly in his hand.

Eventually, he'd be stopped from jumping overboard, if barely; once more he'd find himself locked in a cell in Zero.]

In such a democratic environment as the Barge, I believe this should be put to a vote.
