[A few minutes later, since Judas really has nothing better to do, he's knocking on Shinzon's door.]

[The door slides open, and Shinzon gestures him in. The wine is sitting on the desk.]

I've never had this kind of drink before, Judas.

[Judas can't help but look a little bewildered at Shinzon's quarters. Then again, almost everything is bewildering to the Apostle. But he focuses on the jar of wine on Shinzon's desk. Do you have glasses? Or cups?

[Normally, the wine would be warm from the heat of the desert, so Judas wasn't exactly sure how to drink it if it were cold.]

[Oh yes, sliding doors are damn terrifying, aren't they? Mm. Shinzon gestures toward a seat for Judas, moving to the desk to uncork the jar. It feels room temperature, on the cool side but not cold.]

A couple. [That he took from the dining hall. He'll return them later. Maybe. He sets them on the desk.]

[Judas takes a seat indeed, reveling in the warm temperature of his friend's room in comparison to the cold of the hallways. He pulls off ~~Iago's~~ his robe and smiles minutely. But he feels really strangely awkward.]

Good. Just pour the wine into the cup then and we'll drink.

[Shinzon arches his eyebrows, as if the process of drinking wasn't perfectly clear. But he says nothing, and pours a liberal amount for them both. Honestly, he's used to Romulan ale, this'll be like juice. :|

Handing the cup to Judas, he sat on the corner of the desk and smiled vaguely.]

Care to make a toast?

[Well, this isn't space alcohol, but Judas is a small man and it doesn't take much to buzz him, despite the fact that he's been drinking it for most of his life. The Apostle nods nonetheless.]

To New York and Christmas.

[Judas has greatly enjoyed himself during the port and the past couple days.]

[Lightweight. Shinzon lifts his glass and nods his head to the toast...though he doesn't particularly car for either. Port was awkward, and he doesn't care to know anything about Christmas. But it could have been worse. He drinks, and looks at the jug in mild appreciating.]

This is good.

[Judas takes a long drink of his own. The familiar taste warms him almost as much as the alcohol itself.]

I remember it. My family used to keep a jar of a similar kind.

Perhaps I'll ask for some Romulan ale. You'd like it. [No, it would probably burn the walls of his mouth off. But it'd be fun. For Shinzon.]

[Judas has another swig of his wine. It's been a while since he's had good, Galilean wine. And it's wonderful. Just wonderful.]

Is it from your homeland?

Very close to it. [Remus didn't exactly make anything but dilithium. Shinzon takes another drink, running his thumb along the lip of the cup.] It's a good deal stronger than this.

[Judas smiles.]

Stronger? How much stronger?

[Ahaha that makes Shinzon chuckle.]

Much, much stronger.

[Judas has another swig of his wine.]

Galileans make very strong wine.

[Do they need to have a drinking contest.]

They make good wine. [Pft, but not strong.]

[Well, where Judas hails from, it's strong wine. Strong enough to knock him off his feet if he has too much. And yes, they should have a drinking contest.]

It's the strongest in my area.

[Shinzon is totally getting some Romulan ale for Judas. It will be a wonderful night.]

Is it? [Pft. Weak.] It is very good.

[Oh so wonderful. Full of puking and alcohol poisoning. Judas toasts Shinzon with his glass and drinks again.]

Galilee is known for its fine wine.

[Exactly!]

Exquisite. Romulan ale is known throughout the galaxy.

[This whole space thing is just mind-blowing.]

How large is the galaxy?

[Eh. It's old hat for Shinzon. Except for the part where he never got to go exploring. :(]

Enormous. Each galaxy holds thousands of planetary systems.

[Aw. Poor Shinzon. Judas polishes off his cup of wine and leans back in his chair a little.]

And how large is a planetary system?

[Oh, he smells a science lesson coming on. Shinzon leans back as well, lifting the jug to silently ask if Judas wants more.]

Earth's system consists of the sun and eight planets. Systems vary. Some have two suns; some have three. There can be few planets in orbit, or several. There was no consideration for the interstellar society where you come from?

[Judas nods and moves his cup closer to Shinzon.]

We didn't even know of an interstellar society.
